Osmania biscuit is a perfect tea time snack of Hyderabad. The name Osmania Biscuit is given in the name of the last ruler of Hyderabad Mir Osman Ali Khan. It is a tea accompaniment, which is a little sweet and little savory. Osmania biscuits are typically unraised, flat and crunchy. They are light and crispy, and it is straightforward to make these biscuits with minimum ingredients at your home.

 The recipe of Osmania Biscuit is given by our chef Swapna Sunil, which requires only 20 minutes for the preparation and 15 minutes for baking. Sieve all-purpose flour, milk powder, custard powder, salt, baking powder and mix them perfectly. Cream the butter and powdered sugar in another bowl add the flour mix to it and make a smooth dough by adding milk. Then shape the biscuits by the help of cookie cutter and bake in the preheated oven.

Ingredients used in Osmania biscuit

• Cardamom powder – 1/2 teaspoon.

• Milk powder – 10 grams.

• Custard powder – 10 grams.

• All-purpose flour – 200 grams.

• Milk – 20 ml.

• Sugar powder – 80 grams.

• Butter – 120 grams.

• Baking powder – 1/4 teaspoon.

• Saffron – 1/2 teaspoons.

• Milk – 1/2 cup.

• Salt – to taste.


  • In a bowl add butter, powder sugar mix it well adds milk mix it.
  • Take another bowl to add all-purpose flour, custard powder, milk powder, cardamom powder, salt, baking powder mix all of these, In this mixture Add the butter and sugar powder and mix it well like a dough.
  • Roll the dough into a thin sheet.
  • Cut them into a round shape and arrange the biscuits on the tray.
  • Pour the milk and saffron mixture on top of this.
  • Bake them at 180c for 15 minutes.
  • Osmania biscuits are ready to eat.

For the perfect homemade pizza:

  1. Preheat oven and a baking sheet to 240C/fan 220C.
  2. Mix strong bread flour, salt, and instant yeast in a large bowl. Quickly stir in warm water and olive oil and bring together to a rough dough.
  3. Tip out the mixture onto a lightly floured work surface and knead for 5 mins until you have a smooth, springy dough.
  4. Roll out into thin rounds (you may have to stretch it with your hands a little) about 25cm across and place on floured baking sheets.
  5. Add your favorite toppings (such as tomato passata, mozzarella, vegetables or cured meats), place the floured sheet on top of the preheated sheet and bake for 8-10 mins until the pizza is crisp.


To prepare this delicious Cheese Pizza recipe, preheat the oven on convection mode at 250 degree Celsius. Meanwhile, spread the tomato sauce evenly on each pizza base. Take a chopping board and chop onions, tomatoes, capsicum, and mushroom on it.Mix all the chopped vegetables and seasoning in a bowl. Microwave these vegetables in a microwave-safe bowl for around 30-40 seconds. Spread this vegetable topping on each pizza base. Sprinkle grated mozzarella cheese at the top of each pizza.



You can use a non-stick Tawa for the same. However, in this recipe, we have used a microwave. Bake the pizza on the high rack at 250 degree Celsius till the cheese melts. It will take around 10-12 minutes. Cut the delicious Cheese Pizza into slices and serve with sauces.

There are many different names region by region. In Gujarat, many call it ‘Pakodi.’ In north India, Near the Mumbai region, it is called Panipuri. In Kolkata, West Bengal, it is known as Puchka or phuchka. Pani puri is a popular street food of India which is a combination of 3 main ingredients puri or Gol Gappa, Pani puri water and aloo/potato stuffing.


Today I will tell you how to make this yummiest chaat at your home. Just follow this simple recipe and enjoy the time with your friends and family.

Ingredients needed for Pani Puri

  • Water: 4-5 cups

  • Mint leaves: 1/4 cup

  • Green chili: 2

  • Ginger: 1/2-inch piece

  • Amchoor powder: 1/2 tsp

  • Chaat masala: 1/2 tsp

  • Cumin powder: 1/4 tsp

  • Black salt: a pinch

  • Boondi: for garnishing



For the filling:

  • Boiled potato: 1

  • Boiled black gram: 1/4 cup

  • Coriander leaves: 1 tsp (chopped)

  • Salt to taste

How to make Pani Puri

For pain:

  • Grind mint leaves, green chili, and ginger in a blender till smooth.

  • Mix this paste with rest of the ingredients, except Bondi.

  • Allow it to rest for 2-3 hours before serving.

  • Garnish with Boondi just before serving.

How to make Famous Irani Chai

Irani chai is famous in Hyderabad. Irani chai is unique from a tea unlike any other version of Indian chai.

Made by the addition makes it of masa or black tea. The result is sweet and creamy.



1. Whole milk (Not toned please) – 4 cups.

2. Khoya / Maawa / desiccated milk (Nestle Milkmaid) – 4 Tbl Spoons.

3. Sugar to taste, of course, general measure – 2 tsp sugar. (If using milkmaid, then need to be more careful with sugar.

4. Tea Powder (Not leaf plz) – 4 Tsp (I put 5 tsp as I like a little stronger tea).


– Make a decoction of tea powder by adding 3 cups of water into 4 tsp of tea powder. Cover the vessel to prevent escaping steam. Boil it for around 20-25 minutes on low heat until left with half a cup of filtered decoction.

-On another burner, boil 4 cups of whole milk till reduced to 1.5 cups. Now add four tablespoons of khoya or milkmaid to it. Boil it till khoya mixes with the liquid entirely and makes it thick. Stir it frequently so that it blends with milk quickly.

-Now add the half cup of filtered decoction to it thus making it the last 2 cups of world-famous Hyderabadi Irani chai\tea.

Yeppp….a lot of work there for some Tea. Do remember that Irani chai is 3/4th whole creamy milk with khoya and 1/4th tea decoction. The color is light because of more liquid in it.
